Description

tis finished :D looks way better than i expected :D spent the last week stressing about it, processes and experiments and drawings etc. etc. first started with initial design printed but then i realised the car was too big really and would go over the nut holes :ohmygod: so, i scaled it down so it would fit between and produced the first stencil, was how id planned to paint it first, spray black and spray stencil white. but a test showed the stencil idea would be too fuzzy so i opted for some masking tape covering the area that i would draw on (kept the stencil just to draw through) did make a minor mistake as the back went over a hole slightly so i had to shorten it a tad if you look closely you could notice but i did attempt to fix ^^ cut out with a knife and sprayed through, initial tests showed a little bleed and it was expected but after removing all the tape none had happened :phew: suppose the cut from the blade into the wood made a dip around where it would bleed for the paint to go. mega chuffed :D i was considering selling this one but i would like to keep some of my designs as examples, deifinately be selling the next board tho :) if anyone would like a design, and hopefully the next lot will be just as successful as you see, do give us a shout and i'll do requests, at a cost of course :) i have been considering continuing the paint medium but i have looked into getting vinyl, the only problem is that the designs are quite delicate and could be trickier to apply so um ya paint for the mo anyway

That looks really neat :) When I painted some stuff with my airbrush, I used some kind of sticky plastic film as masking, I cut out the stencil in that and applied it to the surface, then you can just peel it off when you have painted and it doesn't leave a trace. And you get really clean edges
